Welcome

from Conference Chair, PDG Chris Wright

Welcome to the 4th Annual Rotary District 9620 Conference at the historic Empire Theatre. We are honoured to have you with us as we celebrate Rotary’s dedication to service. This stunning venue perfectly embodies the unity and fellowship that defines our organisation.

On behalf of DG Sue and John Mulraney, I am excited to welcome you to an event that promises to inspire and energise. Our conference team has worked hard to craft a memorable experience, with an incredible lineup of speakers tied to the theme “Connecting Communities while Unlocking the Magic of Rotary.”

This conference is more than sessions; it is an opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas, and build new relationships, reminding us why we are part of this incredible organisation. Whether it is your first or your tenth conference, we hope the next few days inspire new ideas and deeper connections.

Do not miss the Gala Dinner—this year, we’re stepping back to The Great Gatsby so get ready for an evening of fun, elegance, and fellowship. Also, be sure to explore the House of Friendship to discover new Rotary programs and initiatives.

Thank you for joining us at the 2025 Rotary Conference. Let’s make this a memorable event as we strengthen our bonds and move forward with renewed passion for service.

District Photo Competition

We are holding a Photo Competition to capture Rotary District 9620 in action and increase our pool of public image photographs for use in promoting Rotary across our District.

We are seeking “action shots” of our members at work on Rotary related projects and related activities. By action shot photographs of members at work on a project or a fundraiser, as opposed to group poses.

Last year’s winning entry was from the Rotary Club of Sunnybank Hills, working on a RAWCS (Rotary Australia World Community Service) project on a school in Tonga.
